Chicago Young Playwrights Festival (YPF)
The Young Playwrights Festival is a citywide playwriting competition for Chicago students. Currently celebrating its 26th year, this school-oriented program gives voice to the next generation. By offering access to theatre professionals, YPF encourages the development of independent, high-level thinking and strong personal values. In-school programming and participation in the festival enhances student's language arts skills and social-emotional learning as identified in core curriculum standards.
